It's time to move your business forward. But what that means is up to you. At this point, you might be dreaming up your new business idea, or you might already be running a 10-person operation. Everyone has their own story; now it's time for you to write yours. 10x: The Entrepreneur's Journal moves your business forward by helping you focus, prioritize and reflect.
The central focus of this journal is for you to set your objectives at the beginning of the day and follow-up at the end of your day. Set goals, stay on task and measure your own success. Strategic Thinking, Tactical Execution Using your journal every day, you'll be making strategic and tactical objectives. Strategy is the what part, while tactical is the how. To build a business, you need both. Even more importantly, you have to keep your strategy and tactics aligned. That's where your 10x Journal comes in.
REFLECT AND PLAN
Every 10 days, you will be prompted to reflect on your activity and identify strategic objectives for the coming days. These are more high-level goals that you won‰۪t complete in a day, for example ‰ÛÏlaunch online store.‰ During your strategic planning, you might identify new goals, alter existing ones or just stay on course with your current strategy. During this time, you will also identify what you can do more of, less of, or start doing in order to move your business forward.
DAILY OBJECTIVES
When it‰۪s time to execute on your strategy, start each morning by identifying tactical objectives for the day that align with your 10-day strategic objective. If your strategic objective is to launch your online store, some of your daily objectives might look like, ‰ÛÏtake product photos‰ and ‰ÛÏwrite first draft of product descriptions.‰ Push yourself with tough goals but don‰۪t try and do everything in one day. At the end of each day, look back at what you accomplished, what you learned and what you want to follow-up on tomorrow. Use the daily confidence scale as a way to quantify how you feel about your progress; it‰۪s a great way to track sentiment over time. When you‰۪re starting and running a business, it‰۪s easy to get distracted by new opportunities or demotivated by setbacks. Aligning your strategy and tactics can help you set goals for the future while remaining focused on the task at hand. While it‰۪s up to you to figure out what needs to be done, your 10x Journal can help you do it better.
